News has surfaced from none other than Pixar fan-favorite, Randy Newman, that Lee Unkrich's next feature film centered on the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos could possibly be a musical! If this were to be true, the untitled Dia de los Muertos film would be Pixar's first ever musical production, a sign of exciting new frontiers that the studio could be exploring. This news comes surprisingly from a radio interview that Newman was featured on about his unique relationship with Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich. More on the interview and what this means for Pixar's future all after the break!
A new TV spot for Pixar's Inside Out features an exclusive look at one of the many aspects of the mind that we previously know will be featured in the film. Our first look at what a "brain freeze" would look like is exactly what I believe intrigues audiences enough to garner interest without having to give away any plot details. And when I say any plot details I really mean ANY plot details. Pixar has been very tight lipped about what the plot for Inside Out will focus on, other than what we already know from the synopsis. That being said, I love a good surprise and if Pixar's previous releases are any indication, we will only find out about what the true story behind Inside Out is on opening weekend on June 21st! Check out the new TV spot below:
