In an article published yesterday by Entertainment Weekly, Nathan Fillion opens up about his new character in Cars 3. Following his vocal work in previous Pixar hit Monsters University as Johnny Worthington, Fillion takes on the role of Sterling, a genius marketing guru who purchases the Rust-Eze Racing Center where Lightning McQueen will train in the upcoming sequel. In additional news, Disney and Pixar announced this afternoon that a new trailer for Cars 3 will debut tomorrow, April 26th! Beloved and legendary comic, Don Rickles, died yesterday in his home in Los Angeles at the age of 90. Rickles voiced the ever-entertaining Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story films. Read more about his legacy after the break.
Pixar Chief Creative Officer and creator of both the Toy Story and Cars franchises, John Lasseter, has officially revealed that Cars is actually a make-believe world set inside of Andy's imagination within the world of Toy Story. Toy Story 4, set for release in June 2019, will be the first film in the new conjoined franchise to reveal this merger.
