After literally years of anticipation and waiting, the first teaser trailer and our first look at Pixar's November 25th, 2015 release, The Good Dinosaur, has debuted online via Yahoo! Movies! The exciting first look also came with an intriguing first teaser poster for the film. Check out both the teaser trailer and poster for Pixar's The Good Dinosaur after the break! The Teaser Trailer for The Good Dinosaur: Gotta love a good teaser trailer. And boy is it a tease! While we see a great setup, and some beautiful shots, it leaves us completely begging for more! The clips shown give us glimpses of our main heroine, Arlo, and some world building shots of Dino's from all walks of life. The film sure looks to really flesh out this unseen world before, which is very, very exciting. With the teaser's debut, we also got a fantastic little interview with 'Good Dino' Director Pete Sohn: "Director Pete Sohn, still deep in the process of review meetings and editing, hopped on the phone with Yahoo Movies on Monday to discuss his first full feature as a director. The Good Dinosaur, which hits theaters on Nov. 25, tells the story of a young Apatosaurus named Arlo (voiced by Lucas Neff) who gets separated from his pack and must find his way back home to a family voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, Judy Greer and John Lithgow. Along the way, he meets a young human that he names Spot, turning the film into a boy-and-his-dog story — one in which the dinosaur is the boy, and the human is the dog. 'Arlo himself is what we would have become, able to articulate and have certain emotions and connection to family,' Sohn explained. 'They’ve become us, essentially… I’m trying to treat Spot in a very kind of animalistic way, where he doesn’t speak very much. He’s very feral.' The studio was liberal when it came to the timeline of human evolution — modern humans are thought to have first appeared 200,000 years ago, while the earliest ancestors to use stone tools began breaking things less than 3 million years ago. The film happens some time after the asteroid missed the Earth, but Sohn says they avoided pinpointing any exact era: 'It’s kind of an unknown, and it’s been fun to let go of what has happened. It’s given us some space in terms of the logic of the rules.'" I'd also like to not that the impeccable timing of the trailer's release gives the marketing campaign for the film momentum not just from upcoming Pixar's release, Inside Out, but also for a little "dino" flick entitled JURASSIC WORLD, coming to theaters next week. While this teaser is a small bite, it sure is delicious- it just leaves all of us begging for more! So bring it on, because I know you can, Pixar! The Good Dinosaur comes to theaters on November 25th, 2015! |
