With the Blu-Ray release of Pixar's November 2015 release of The Good Dinosaur now just days away, coming on February 23rd (pre-order here on Amazon.com), the question of which Pixar easter eggs made it into the film has finally been given some deep interrogation. For those who may be unfamiliar with the phenomenon of Pixar easter eggs, the studio has diligently put artists at work hiding secret "easter eggs" in each of their films. Here are some of the more recognizable examples of easter eggs that are featured in Pixar films: the ball from the original short film Luxo Jr., the Pizza Planet truck from Toy Story, and A113, which refers to the the classroom number at CalArts where several Pixar braintrust members such as John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, and Brad Bird, among others, learned the fundamentals of animation. The Good Dinosaur was a particularly hard film to pick out the easter eggs for, mainly because the landscape showed off an incredibly beautiful yet meticulously crafted exaggerated realism, making hiding Pixar easter eggs such as the Luxo Jr. ball or A113 hard to disguise. However, some very talented Pixar fans from Pixarpedia put in the work to find the hidden gems, resulting in a couple very interesting finds. Check out which Pixar easter eggs have been found in The Good Dinosaur after the break!
