The first Official trailer for Pixar's Inside Out has debuted to much enthusiasm online. The fantastic trailer highlights three of Riley's emotions, Anger, Disgust, and Fear, and the five emotions of both Riley's mother and father. The trailer plays more of a second teaser trailer kind of role in that it doesn't highlight any story details. This is not a criticism, but merely an important factor to note. However, what the trailer does show is how imaginative, entertaining, and quirky all of the emotions are! Check out the official Inside Out trailer after the break! An article by USA Today delves a little deeper into some of director Pete Docter's thoughts behind the film: Inside Out takes viewers inside the mind of all three human characters. Dad's emotions have Headquarters like a Norad missile defense site and have mustaches. Very male. Meanwhile, Mom's Headquarters features emotions wearing her red glasses and who engage in civil discussion à la The View. "There's our world which we're conscientious of and looking at. So we're driving, eating dinner, whatever. And inside our head there's this whole rich internal dialogue and world no one else knows about," says Docter. "This film gets you inside each character's heads." Even everyday moments expand comically as we see each person's inner dialogue and then what comes out of their mouths. "We're intercutting to show what's going on inside each of their heads behind the scenes," says Docter. "What seems like a simple family dinner is actually fraught with all sorts of emotional angst and drama." Here are some screenshots I took from the trailer: |
