Celebrating the milestone for The Good Dinosaur coming to theaters in exactly one year from Tuesday, Pixar unveiled yet another piece of gorgeous concept art for the film as well as an updated synopsis. Check both out below! Official Synopsis (Updated):
The Good Dinosaur asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way - a human boy. “The Good Dinosaur” is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart. The biggest change made to the updated synopsis is the traumatic event unsettling Arlo's family as opposed to the event unsettling his community. Additionally, the human boy's name is not mentioned, possibly indicating that his previous name, Spot, is no longer in the script. Other than that, everything is about the same, which is settling knowing that new director Peter Sohn is staying true to original director Bob Peterson's original concept. The Good Dinosaur is back on path, and it looks like the year-and-a-half extra wait will be all the more worth it in the end! |
