Before your showing of Cars 3 this weekend, be sure to have popcorn ready for Lou, Pixar's latest theatrical short film by first-time director Dave Mullins. Lou, the titular character made up of Lost-and-Found items in an Elementary schoolyard, keeps a watchful eye on the kiddos that play with his goodies, including bully J.J.. Check out the exclusive first clip of Lou after the break! LOU Clip:Short Film Synopsis:With baseballs for eyes and cloaked in a red hoodie, the title monster keeps a watchful eye on the kids on the playground in secret from his box. A boy named J.J. is a real terror, snatching a video game from his classmate and kicking a girl’s stuffed animal into a basketball hoop, and Lou decides it’s time for a high-jinks-filled comeuppance." Based off of this clip, Lou looks to not only tackle the ever-present danger in bullying, but also a really unique animation style with how the titular monster-character moves with a disassembled body. The moment when we see Lou's left baseball eye fumble up to his other eye, making up a makeshift head, realizes this exciting new animation style. Look forward to watching the full 6-minute short film before Cars 3 this weekend!
