After the smashing success of Frozen, Big Hero 6 followed suite with a sweeping story of beautiful characters and an amazing world to match. Walt Disney Animation Studios took home Oscar gold with Big Hero 6 and their short film Feast, but they sure aren't finished yet. If Zootopia's teaser trailer is any indication, they are just getting started. Walt Disney Animation Studios is set to release their next feature film, Zootopia, March 4th, 2016, and the first teaser trailer for the film gives us our first look at the film's two main characters! Watch the first teaser trailer for Disney's Zootopia after the break! The Official Synopsis for Disney's Zootopia: The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia,” a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (“Tangled,” “Bolt”) and Rich Moore (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “The Simpsons”) and co-directed by Jared Bush (“Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero”), opens in theaters on March 4, 2016. The teaser gives us our first glimpse of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, the films two main protagonists. While I would have loved to actually get a glimpse of the world of Zootopia, the release of this trailer was a bit of a surprise alone, and getting a glimpse at the fully rendered versions of theses characters is exciting in of itself. Anthropomorphic animal worlds has always been a staple of Disney animated feature films, with the likes of Robin Hood, The Aristocats, and The Rescuers just to name a few. The classic yet modern feel of the character designs gets any animation fan excited, and with an interesting premise and beautiful world to boot, Zootopia is sure to delight. If anything, this teaser leaves us wanting more; isn't that the job of any teaser?! Just give it to us, Disney, because the anticipation kills me! Zootopia comes to theaters on March 4th, 2016!
