During Walt Disney Studios' CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas, Walt Disney Animation Studios announced the title of their next feature, a sequel to 2012's Wreck-It Ralph. The title reads "Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2" and debuted on twitter in a really fun and creative video shared below. Along with the announcement of returning cast members, check out the official title reveal for Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 after the break!
While the logo at first glance is not particularly mesmerizing, once you take a second look, there is some added depth. The logo itself is supposed to be in the style of a smart phone application icon, complete with the plasticine shimmer swooping from the top right to the bottom left of the box that Steve Jobs made so iconic in his first iPhone keynote presentation. Similarly, the Wreck-It Ralph 2 subtitle is indicative of the notification symbol that many social media apps have pop up in the top left corner. While this design is not particularly reminiscent of the classic 8-bit logo of the first film, it does indicate how the marketing department at Disney is including specific story details in the sequel's positioning. Given this attention to detail, the title and logo for the film get us really excited to see what is in store for returning cast members Ralph (John C. Reilly), Vanellope (Sarah Silverman), Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch), and Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer)!
